About Great Minds Think Alike

Great Minds (Think Alike) is a word association game for iPhone®, iPad® and iPod Touch® that lets users build semantic concept networks and explore relations between people, tags, places, and media content.

Great Minds is mainly developed by Rossano Schifanella of the University of Torino Computer Science Department. The idea and design are the fruit of a collaboration with Filippo Menczer and the Networks and agents Network at the Indiana University School of Informatics and Computing. The Great Minds project emerged during Rossano Schifanella's visit to the Center for Complex Networks & Systems Research in 2009 and 2010.

Great Minds is tightly integrated with the GiveALink.org site and GiveALink research project, aimed at studying, facilitating, and empowering social annotations.

We are grateful to Kyle Gabler, the developer of HumanBrainCloud, for providing some inspiration for Great Minds and for sharing his data.

Great Minds and GiveALink are supported by the National Science Foundation under award IIS-0811994: Social Integration of Semantic Annotation Networks for Web Applications.
